ITINERARY

Day 1 Wednesday, January 2 Departure
Depart early evening from Philadelphia, via Frankfurt with Lufthansa Airlines .

Day 2 Thursday, January 2 Florence
Arrive Florence airport around noon. Assistance and transfer to Hotel Capitol, a 3 star hotel, located just a few minutes walk from the famous Square and Church of Santa Croce.

Day 3 Friday, January 4 Florence
You must buy your entrance tickets to visit the most famous sights of Florence on line, prior to departure from the US. The Uffizzi Gallery and the Academia are a must!

Day 4 Saturday, January 5 Florence Optional day in Rome
Optional excursion by train to spend a full day in Rome. Be prepared to walk around all day to see the Forum and the Coliseum, as well as the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and St Peter’s Square.

Day 5 Sunday, January 6 Florence
Explore Florence on your own: Visit the Duomo and The Baptistery. Climb to the top of the Campanile. See Piazza Della Signoria, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Pitti Palace and the Ponte Vecchio.

Day 6 Monday, January 7 Florence Optional day in Venice
Optional full day excursion to Venice by coach. Transfer by boat to San Marco Square and a guided walking tour are included on arrival.

Day 7 Tuesday, January 8 Florence
Spending another day in Florence will allow you to see the frescoes of Santa Croce and Santa Maria Novella or San Lorenzo and the Biblioteca Laurenziana. You may prefer to go and visit Siena, taking a local coach and seeing the landscape of Tuscany.

Day 8 Wednesday, January 9 Return
Transfer to Florence airport for your return flight to Philadelphia, via Frankfurt, with Lufthansa.

Price includes:

• Round trip flights out of Philadelphia, via Frankfurt with Lufthansa
• “Q” taxes for fuel surcharge @ $ 160.00 subject to adjustment
• Airport taxes @ approximately $ 120.00, subject to adjustment at time of ticketing.
• 6 nights hotel accommodation 4 to a room at Hotel Capitol, a 3 star hotel, in the centre of Florence.
• Continental breakfast daily
• Transport to/from Florence airport and hotel
• Supervision by Penn State faculty members.

The price does NOT include:

• Single room supplement + $ 300.00
• Supplement for triple occupancy + $ 50.00
• Supplement for double occupancy + $100.00
• Optional excursions as per included list
• Public transport: local trains and buses
• Compulsory Penn State insurance:
  $ 16.00 if you are under 26
  $ 24.00 if you are 26 or older
• Visitor’s fee of $ 74.00 includes registration as a Continuing Education student, Penn State compulsory insurance and $50.00 of which are used to provide a special grant to selected students.
• All meals, except breakfast
• Cost of personal items: phone, drinks, laundry, etc.
• Optional travel insurance covering trip cancellation for medical reasons.
• 3.5 percent Merchant Account fees on all amounts paid by Visa, Master Card or American Express credit card.
• Passport & visa fee: Everyone needs a passport valid until April 9, 2008. If you are not an American citizen a visa may be required. Do not forget your green card to return to the U.S.!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

At Celestial Voyagers, our terms are based on contracts with airlines, hotels and other suppliers. The terms and stipulations mentioned below are related to these contracts and will be strictly enforced.

Deposit: $ 300.00 before September 26, 2007
of which $150.00 processing fee is non refundable

Final payment due November 2, 2007

Late fee (due to possible air fare increase):
$ 100.00 or more, applicable for trip registration and/or balance payments received after November 2, 2007. All cancellations must be received in writing.

Cancellation penalties:

• $150.00 non refundable processing fee
• Additional $150.00 for cancellations between September 26 and November 1, 2007
• 50% of total price for cancellations between Sep. 26 & Nov 1
• 100% of total price for cancellations on Nov. 30 or later.

We strongly recommend that you avail yourself of travel insurance as protection against these penalties. Please check with Celestial Voyagers for travel insurance plans and premiums.

Make sure that the registration is complete, indicating all the services you wish to book, all information re Penn State insurance and / or visitor’s fee if applicable, plus any information regarding your choice of roommate.

Optional tours:

• Full day excursion by train to Rome, including 2nd class round trip train ticket and 4 hour guided tour of Rome : $125.00 (subject to adjustment after publication of train fare).
• Full day excursion to Venice by coach including boat transfer to and from Piazza San Marco and 1 ½ hour walking tour. $90.00
  

Penn State Student Insurance
$ 16.00 if you are less than 26
$ 24.00 if you are 26 or over.
We must receive the proper insurance information to process the insurance fee to Penn State University. You will receive an electronic insurance form which must be filled out, signed and returned to the University. Unless this form is completed, students will not be allowed to travel.

Visitor’s fee @ $74.00
This applies to all passengers who do not have a Penn State ID. It includes a registration fee as a Continuing Education student and Penn State compulsory health insurance. Besides the insurance premium it is used to provide special grants to selected students.

DELIVERY OF AIRLINE TICKETS & TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Travel documents will be delivered in room 112 of the Vairo Building, Penn State, Delaware County Campus, on December 14, 2007 at 12:30pm. It is most important to attend this meeting or send a substitute. If this is not possible your professor(s) and Celestial Voyagers MUST be notified. If your documents have to be sent individually, you must submit your request with your address in writing; a $15.00 mailing fee will apply.

ACADEMIC ARANGEMENTS & RULES OF CONDUCT

All academic arrangements must be made with PSU Delaware County and indicate your agreement to abide by Penn State’s stipulated rules of conduct.
