ITINERARY
Day 1 Friday, March 6 DEPARTURE
Depart from Philadelphia airport with Air France at 8:30pm. Check-in at Newark should be around 5:30pm.
Day 2 Saturday, March 7 PARIS
Arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport at 9:55am. Transfer to your hotel located on the Grands Boulevards in the 9th district, by Rue Montmartre. Start exploring your neighborhood: Walk to the Opera, Madeleine Church, Concorde Square and Place Vendome.
Day 3 Sunday, March 8 PARIS
You may want to visit the Louvre Museum. It is less than 20 minutes walk from your hotel as you follow the Rue de Richelieu. Today, entrance is free as it is the first Sunday of the month. Be there early!
Day 4 Monday, March 9 PARIS
Among many areas you may want to see today are Le Marais, Place des Vosges, the Ile Saint Louis, the Ile de La Cité and Notre Dame. Walk around the Latin Quarter where students and intellectuals meet in the cafés of Saint Michel, Saint Germain or Montparnasse. Museums are closed either on Mondays or Tuesdays. The Orsay museum closes on Mondays.

Day 5 Tuesday, March 10 PARIS
There is much more to see in Paris: the Champs Elysées, the Eiffel Tower and the Sacré Coeur at Montmartre. You could also take a ride on the famous T.G.V., the French fast train, which in less than 3 hours takes you to Dijon, Lyon, Reims or Strasbourg. Alternatively, you can experience the Eurostar, which goes to England under the English Channel, and spend the day in London.
Day 6 Wednesday, March 11 PARIS
Enjoy a day at Versailles to see the splendid Palace of Louis XIV, its gardens, the Grand and the Petit Trianon as well as the Hamlet of Marie Antoinette. The train to Versailles Rive Gauche leaves from Gare St. Michel.
Day 7 Thursday, March 12 PARIS
Full day excursion to the Loire Valley. This optional tour leaves at 7:00am and returns at 7:00pm. It includes a photo stop at Chambord, a visit to Chenonceau and a stop in the small town of Amboise. The price per person is $95.00 with a minimum of 15 participants.
Day 8 Friday, March 13 PARIS
Free day in Paris for shopping or to see that last little museum you did not want to miss!
Day 9 Saturday, March 14 PARIS
Additional free day in Paris as you now fly with Air France, roundtrip from Philadelphia.
Day 10 Sunday, March 15 RETURN
Transfer to Charles de Gaulle airport. Air France flight # 366 leaves at 1:30pm. Expected arrival time in Philadelphia is 5:10pm.

- Round trip flights from Philadelphia to Paris with Air France.
- Airport, security taxes and “Q” tax for fuel surcharge at $445.00 as of August 2008, subject to adjustment
at time of ticketing.
- Transfers between CDG airport and hotel.
- 8 nights accommodation in double or triple room at Hotel Mercure Ronceray Opera.
- Buffet breakfast daily.
- Assistance of Miss Flinchbaugh during your stay in Paris.
This price does not include:
- Single room supplement + $ 630.00.
- Possible day excursions by high speed train (T.G.V) to Dijon, Strasbourg, Reims or Eurostar to London.
- Possible day excursion to Normandy with either Cityrama or Parisvision.
- Optional excursion to the Loire Valley + $ 95.00 with minimum of 15 participants.

Everyone needs a passport valid until September14, 2009. If you are not an American citizen a visa may be required. A green card is compulsory.

Your deposit will secure your reservation with the airline, the hotel and other suppliers.
It must be sent with a copy of your passport, the registration form and the optional travel insurance premium if you choose to purchase it.
Credit card payments:
We accept Visa and Mastercard. Since Merchant fees are not included in the price, should you wish to pay by credit card, a 3.5% supplement applies to the amount paid.
Cancellation:
All cancellations must be received in writing. In case of cancellation the following penalties will apply:
- $150.00 processing fee if written cancellation is received prior to January 4, 2009.
- Penalty of 50% of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received between January 5 and February 1, 2009.
- Penalty of 100% of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received after February 2, 2009 and in case of no-show.
Travel Insurance:
We strongly recommend that you avail yourself of travel insurance as protection against penalties as well as baggage damage and travel delays. Without insurance, if you cancel your trip within a few days of the departure date, the total value of the trip will not be refunded. Pre-existing medical conditions are covered only if the insurance registration has been submitted within 14 days of sending your deposit.

Travel documents will be sent to Penn State College and delivered by your professor. If your documents have to be sent individually, you must submit your request with your address in writing.
