What our Clients Say
Fun-filled, organized and executed trip

In March 2018, we had the pleasure of traveling with Celestial Voyagers to Sicily and Malta with the PSU Brandywine group.  To say we had a wonderful time is an understatement.  Francoise, our tour organizer, and guide did a fantastic job of making our trip pleasant and inspirational.  Even when we had a delay due to mother nature, she picked up the sticks and made the trip a formidable experience.  The guides she hired to show us the local culture and adventure were personable and knowledgeable.  Overall, it was a fun-filled, organized and executed trip.  We learned so much and had a great and engaging experience. – Mary and Flynn Hudson

Twenty years of fruitful collaboration

As Coordinator of Pennsylvania State University Brandywine Global Programs, our campus study abroad program, I am very pleased to write in support of Celestial Voyagers Customized Travel, and its founder and president, Francoise Cornu.

I have known Ms. Cornu for twenty years, and as an instructor of courses including study abroad, I have worked with her and her company since 2000, when I first taught a course called the Arts in London. Since then, I have worked with Celestial Voyagers to design and deliver courses in Seville, Barcelona, Paris, Vienna, Berlin, Prague, Ireland, and Greece.

In 2010 I became Coordinator of Penn State University’s Brandywine campus education abroad program, and my steering committee and I have worked with Celestial Voyagers almost exclusively to design and deliver 2-3 programs per year, comprised of 2-6 courses each, with embedded travel abroad. From 1994 to today, approximately 2,000 Penn State students, from campuses all over the state, have taken our education abroad courses and worked with Celestial Voyagers. Our traveling groups are typically 20-40 participants, and we have reached 120 students on one of our Italy programs. Destinations have been primarily in Europe; however Celestial Voyagers has also arranged for our courses including travel to Morocco, Japan, Argentina, and Guatemala.

Continent to Continent: Applying Classes to Culture

When I traveled to Spain and Guatemala for my one week study tour experiences, it allowed me to gain an understanding of the country’s culture and language. I was able to use what I learned in my language classes and apply it in a real world setting. I saw the difference between the countries and the United States on many different aspects from the food, to the people, and the environment. I think that CelestialVoyagers provided all the things that we needed to have a great trip. The programs that they created truly enhanced our educational experiences.

Genuine partnership and the personal touch

For close to seven years, Ms. Francoise Cornu and her team at Academic Voyagers have played an important and valuable role in the design and operation of the international field experience that Metropolitan College of New York has provided its MBA students. From Paris, to Zurich, to London and Frankfurt, we have relied on the firm to share its knowledge of local markets, book convenient flights and lodging, meet program budgets, understand our academic mission, and help ensure our students’ satisfaction with the experience. As an independent operator, Academic Voyagers offers what the behemoths in the travel agency industry cannot – genuine partnership and the personal touch!
