Twenty years of fruitful collaboration
As Coordinator of Pennsylvania State University Brandywine Global Programs, our campus study abroad program, I am very pleased to write in support of Celestial Voyagers Customized Travel, and its founder and president, Francoise Cornu.
I have known Ms. Cornu for twenty years, and as an instructor of courses including study abroad, I have worked with her and her company since 2000, when I first taught a course called the Arts in London. Since then, I have worked with Celestial Voyagers to design and deliver courses in Seville, Barcelona, Paris, Vienna, Berlin, Prague, Ireland, and Greece.
In 2010 I became Coordinator of Penn State University’s Brandywine campus education abroad program, and my steering committee and I have worked with Celestial Voyagers almost exclusively to design and deliver 2-3 programs per year, comprised of 2-6 courses each, with embedded travel abroad. From 1994 to today, approximately 2,000 Penn State students, from campuses all over the state, have taken our education abroad courses and worked with Celestial Voyagers. Our traveling groups are typically 20-40 participants, and we have reached 120 students on one of our Italy programs. Destinations have been primarily in Europe; however Celestial Voyagers has also arranged for our courses including travel to Morocco, Japan, Argentina, and Guatemala.
