Departure from JFK for an overnight flight to Paris CDG with Norwegian Airlines. Flight DY#7022 leaves at 11:20 PM 8:30 PM Check-in at JFK from terminal 1
11:20 AM Arrival Paris
Charles de Gaulle airport. Assistance and transfer to your hotel. Check-in at your hotel for 7 nights. Receive the “whispers”, an audio system that you will keep all through the week to follow your guide daily. This audio system is compulsory as you visit some monuments. You need to carry it with you each day and return it to the guide at the end of the tour.
3:00 PM guided orientation tour of Paris by motor coach. Your guide will explain general French culture, where to change money, how to use public transportation and find affordable restaurants. Photo stop near the Opera Garnier, Place de l’Etoile, Trocadero with pick-up by the Eiffel Tower, and the Church of the Invalides. Guide services for 3 1⁄2 to 4 hours.
Take the subway to Notre Dame, where you will start your walking tour. Meet your guide in front of Notre Dame Cathedral See the facade and the flying buttresses of the outside of Notre Dame as well as the damages caused by the recent fire. Walk around the “Ile de La Cite” and “Ile Saint-Louis”: View the Conciergerie, the Hotel Dieu walk along the River to Place Dauphine and to the Vert Galant. In the afternoon, proceed to Metro Saint Maure to go and see the “Atelier des Lumieres” where the new show on Van Gogh started in February. Guide services end at the entrance of the Atelier des Lumieres. You could plan at least one to two hours to enjoy the on going show which will be a completely new experience as you move around the place or prefer to sit or lie on the floor. Return to your hotel by public transportation.
Take the subway to go to “Palais Royal” and meet your guide for a visit of the Louvre Museum. Your guided tour of the museum begins with a brief history of the buildings and the visit will focus on the highlights of the collections. Before or after the visit walking tour in the surroundings Continuation in the afternoon to the Pasteur Institute: Guided tour (subject to confirmation) Continuation to Montmartre by subway, (Metro line 12, from Pasteur to Abesse, 45 minutes.) From the top of the hill, admire the panoramic view over Paris, see the inside of the Basilica, and enjoy some free time on Place du Tertre where artists are ready to do your portrait. You can stay for dinner in the area. Full day guide services ending in Montmartre. Return to your hotel by subway.
Morning excursion to Versailles and afternoon walking tour of the Marais including the Picasso Museum Morning coach drive to go to Versailles for a guided tour of the Royal Apartments, the Gallery of Mirrors and a promenade through the typical French Gardens. Return to Paris for an afternoon walking tour of the Marais District including Place des Vosges and the Picasso Museum (visit 2nd and 3rd floor collection of the monographic museum – no temporary exhibit in this period) Full day guide services Free time around the Forum des Halles. You can stay in the area for dinner. Return to the hotel by subway.
Morning departure by coach to Chambord (no guide, approximately a 2-hour drive) Day at the Chateau:
● One hour guided tour of the vegetable gardens with tasting of some of the homegrown organic products.
● Lunch at the Chateau or close proximity
● Self-guided visit of the chateau and its garden.
A special visit to the vegetable garden will focus on biology and organic gardening. The English speaking gardener / guide will talk about microorganisms in the soil, saprophytes. / decomposers. He will explain about microorganisms that enrich the soil with organic matter, how microorganisms are involved in fermentation. Return to Paris in the afternoon. Coach services for 11 hours.
Morning coach transfer to the “ Cite des Sciences et de l’Industrie ” Guided tour: this is the biggest science museum in Europe, located in Parc de la Villette Continue by coach and drop off at the Orsay Museum: the guided tour includes its architecture as a train station as well as the collection of Impressionists. Then walk to the Musee Rodin ( 1 km, 15 min walk) : guided tour. Proceed by subway to Pont de l’Alma pour an evening cruise on the River Seine. (take the subway from Invalid to Pont de l’Alma) After the cruise, evening promenade by the Eiffel Tower. Morning coach transfers: Hotel / Cite des Sciences + Cite des Sciences / Orsay Museum. Full day guide services till Bateaux Mouches Cruise Return to hotel by subway.
Departure around 10: 15 AM to go Place du Trocadero where the Museum of Mankind is located in the Palais de Chaillot. It opens at 11:00 AM.Museum (Guided tour). After you can visit next door the “French Monument Museum” Continue to the 5th district for an early afternoon visit of the Marie Curie Museum which re-opened in 2012 (open Wednesday through Saturdays, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM) Free time in the area of Rue Mouffetard and Place de la Contrescarpe Farewell dinner.
Last day in Paris before going to the airport. 10:00 AM Check-out and departure from the hotel with your luggage. Coach transfer to Bois de Boulogne to visit the Vuitton Foundation located near the “Jardin d’acclimatation”. The American architect Frank Gehry designed the building. Its architectural curves,lines, colors and transparency is a fine showcase of colorful contemporary art. Guided tour of the art and architecture of the building Continuation to Charles de Gaulle airport.

Cancellations, Penalties, and Fees
All changes and cancellations must be provided in writing. The following penalties apply with the number of days prior to departure:
● The $300.00 program deposit is non-refundable.
● In addition to the non-refundable deposit, there is a penalty of $300.00 for air, hotel and tour cancellation if written cancellation is received 120 days to 91 days before trip departure.
● A penalty of 100% of the total cost of the trip* will be incurred if written cancellation is received 90days or less before the trip departure.
